Rahul Gandhi: Goodwill for Congress (I) increasing in UP

Back from his recent public contact program in districts of central UP where he campaigned from December 13 to 17, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has predicted an upswing in the party support in the coming Assembly elections due early 2012. Rahul Gandhi has been meticulously planning his Mission 2012 and now hitting Mayawati hard where it is hurting her most. Corruption and bad governance are core issues. Congress (I) leader said, “Opposition parties are finding it difficult to oppose our welfare programmes like food security, RTI, MNREGA.” Rahul Gandhi said this has put Mayawati on the defensive while the tremendous response which he got from people has started weaning the sheen of Mayawati. “We need is to take our Congress (I) inspired and central government sponsored welfare schemes to the people to tap their goodwill. If we can do this then they will be too happy to vote for Congress (I), said Rahul Gandhi.
