Corruption in all departments of Mayawati govt: Congress (I)

Congress (I) has said Mayawati government is so greedy for money that corruption has reached every department. Even for collection of old age pension or widow pension scheme people have to pay a share to officials and middlemen. Similarly in implementation of all social welfare schemes for poor, welfare of Mayawati is first ensured. For instance in all schemes like Kashi Ram Housing Scheme, Mid Day Meal Scheme, Education programme, Public convenience programme, Food in lieu of work programme, Sweepers employment scheme, share of Mayawati government is invariably collected from people. There is a new tax in UP known as ‘Maya Tax’ under which hafta wasuli is done on all sorts of transactions. Congress (I) has said now the only way left to end corruption is to throw out Maywati government by voting in favor of Congress (I) in the coming Assembly elections in early 2012.
