Mayawati does not take people into confidence: Congress (I)

Congress (I) has said Mayawati has been carrying a wrong notion that being Chief Minister she can do what she likes and nobody must interfere with her discretion. It is strange that while Congress (I) has been working for restricting and even altogether doing away with such discretionary powers, Mayawati has been taking pleasure in exercising discretionary powers at the cost of poor people. For instance, Aims Sanya Developers Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated on May 2010 but the government deal with it was finalised in March 2010. Again in 2010, Mayawati Government acquired land from farmers for planned industrial development. Poor farmers were paid Rs.880 per SqM. But the land was gifted in 2010-11 to big businessmen for farm houses by charging market price Rs.15,000 per SqM. Congress (I) said all such deals confirms Mayawati government did not take the affected people into confidence. Obviously the Mayawati’s government wanted to make money at the cost of poor people.
