Rahul Gandhi lashes out at Tripura communist govt.

Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has criticized CPI(M)-led Tripura government for failing to fulfill the expectations of the people of the state. Congress (I) leader accused the communists for rampant corruption, misuse of public funds and failure in taking positive steps to improve the conditions of the poor people. Rahul Gandhi said money was not a problem, but it was being utilised improperly by the communist government. Congress (I) General Secretary assured the people that UPA government was committed to implement its flagship programmes for the welfare of people and development of the state. Rahul Gandhi also visited South Tripura. There is a lack of infrastructure in the state and schools are not functioning properly, he said. Congress (I) leader added that the state’s tribals had not benefited from communist rule; they were supposed to get 30% share in all spheres of development, but only 15% was reaching them.
