Congress (I) has said that despite order of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, UP police has not added the names of three police officials whom UP Congress (I) chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi had accused for complicity in the crime of arson at her house in 2009. The CJM court had issued an order to this effect on an application under Section 156 (3) of the Criminal Procedure Code. The petition had named the then SP (east), circle officer, Hazratganj and inspector, Hussainganj as the three officials who allegedly helped the arsonists. Congress (I) has said it is strange that police is talking about three FIRs which were registered after the incident but not about the four which was to be registered as per CJM Court orders on February 3, 2010. After the incident that took place on July 15, 2009, the UPCC chief and other party leaders had said that the police officials, who were standing near the site of the incident, actually facilitated the mob which attacked her house. The prevailing situation indicates that UP Police follows Mayawati’s orders but of the judicial court, said Congress (I).This article is posted by pressbrief.in
