All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who is on a five-day tour to poll bound Uttar Pradesh continued with his relentless attack on the Mayawati-led BSP Government in Uttar Pradesh on corruption during his rally on the fourth day of his campaign. The Congress General Secretary took a potshot at the ruling party on Friday and said that "the elephant in Lucknow eats grass as well as sugarcane and sugar mills".
Rahul Gandhi then tossed a question at the gathering: "How many ministers are there in Maya cabinet from Bundelkhand?" When the crowd replied five, Rahul Gandhi said: "Imagine, all of them are facing corruption charges." This drew a loud applause from the crowd. Rahul also questioned the SP and BSP chiefs for mocking his night halts at villages, and said: "If they had cared to do the same during their tenures, they would have got the real picture of the pathetic condition of these people."
