Priyanka Gandhi Vadra: People in U.P are deprived off their rights

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who has been campaigning for Congress in Uttar Pradesh, focusing the parliament constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli, said while addressing an election rally in Balbhadrapur that the people of U.P were deprived off their rights. Priyanka Gandhi also expressed her grave concern over the bad state of affairs in the state and said that two decade old non-Congress Governments took the state backwards. She urged the people to rise to the occasion and bring in positive changes in the state by helping the Congress to form a pro-poor Government in Uttar Pradesh.

“I had met my fellow workers last week. One Congress worker told me that the MLA here has not indulged in assaulting anybody; didn’t send anyone to jail, not victimized anyone, did not grab lands of others. And more importantly he hasn’t got anyone assassinated. This is the situation here,” she added.

“The people here are deprived off their rights. The narrow politics in the past 22 years have destroyed the state. The politics here thrives on divisive ideologies. Now you please think yourself”, urged Priyanka Gandhi”.
