Priyanka Gandhi said that the BSP Government created hurdles for various Central schemes for Raebareli, the Parliament constituency of her mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. She was talking at an election meeting in Unchahar (Raebareli). Priyanka Gandhi asked the voters to cast their votes wisely so as to bring in a pro-poor Government in Uttar Pradesh.
“Various development projects by the Centre for Raebareli were blocked by the state Government. Therefore, you have to cast your vote intelligently if you really want to change this state of affairs. You should exercise your franchise after thinking about your future, the future of your children and the development of your state” she urged.
Reminding the voters about the strength of the vote, Priyanka Gandhi continued, “Democracy has given you the biggest strength by way of the right to vote to opt for a politics which is based on development. You know very well what kind of politics is prevalent in your state for the past 22 years”.
