Amethi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who was on a three-day visit to his parliament constituency Amethi recently, laid the foundation stone for a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Camp and recruitment centre at Trisundi in Bhadar. While lauding the tremendous services being done by the CRPF, Rahul Gandhi said "Now there is peace in Punjab and no violence there as of now. CRPF has been playing an important role in the positive developments in Punjab -- the state which gives the entire food for our nation. CRPF Jawans gave their blood and sweat to bring democracy back in the state and to help the youth to build a bright future".

"Their biggest issue is their family, their comfort and well being. In fact, they face two challenges -- one to fight for the country and the other is to ensure the welfare of their families. I therefore request Shindeji, who is our Home Minister, to extend maximum support to CRPF Jawans for ensuring their families' welfare and comfort", said Rahul Gandhi and the audience, which comprised a good number of CRPF personnel greeted it with loud applauds.
