Latest news - Rahul Gandhi's Birthday Celebrations

Latest news - Rahul Gandhi's Birthday Celebrations
Congress workers invoking the Gods at the party headquarters. Their single point agenda is to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of India. This is a sentiment

That perhaps echoes through the hearts of every Congressmen. Even as the Congress’ poster boy turns 41 today, comparisons between a young Rajiv Gandhi becoming PM and Rahul doing the same just don’t seem to stop.

The other burning issue for the aam Congress worker is as complex as the first. And that of course is when will Rahul Gandhi bite the other bullet. That of tying the knot and settling down into a married life. Little wonder that senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh says “I pray to the Lord that everyone may be able to see Rahul Gandhi as a groom this year.”

But so far Rahul has looked reluctant towards both the issues. His main focus still remains revamping the party’s frontal organizations the NSUI and the IYC. And the 41 year old Amethi MP doesn’t get tired of repeating what he feels from the heart.

“Until we change the way our political structures are designed, until we bring democracy into our political organizations we will continue to talk for the next 100 years. I am working towards this direction and this is what I am going to spend better part of my life doing”.

And as Rahul spends yet another quiet birthday at home, one cant help but remember another punchline of his. And this perhaps is more relevant in the present scenario when the Congress led UPA is facing flak on the issue of Corruption from all quarters. Rahul said “Complaining is very important but what is more important is acting”. Its time for action, as another year passes by and Rahul baba prepares himself for the dust and grime ahead before the crucial 2012 assembly elections in UP
