During his recent Congress campaign for the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, the All India Congress Committee General Secretary Rahul Gandhi explained the people of Uttar Pradesh the true picture of the state. The Congress General Secretary described to them the problems the people of UP have been facing since two decades.
At Matera, Rahul Gandhi fired with words and told some interesting but condemning realities in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi told how he was shocked to see that a hospital was being renovated from the outside while dogs were scampering inside it.
“A few days back I went to one hospital in UP which was being painted from the outside. And the road in front of it was being built. I went inside and I saw dogs roaming around. There were no beds, no doctors and no any facilities. When I asked the people there, they told me it was being done to show Mayawati who was to visit the hospital,” informed the Congress leader.
While Rahul Gandhi finished his spectacular speech at Nanpara, a girl shouted “Rahul Bhaiya! Rahul Bhaiya!” After coming down the stage Rahul Gandhi met with the girl. She started crying. After questioning, it came out that she is the wife of an ex-COP who was martyred recently. The couple had a child. Now, there is no government help for her.
Rahul Gandhi, at Nanpara said “Many opponent leaders say that Rahul Gandhi is a kid, he does not know anything about politics. Sometimes he sits in some poor’s house, sometimes he drinks and sometimes he eats. He is always indulging in drama. But, I tell you. I have been in politics for the last seven years and I have doing all these things. I’ve slept in a poor’s house, have eaten with him and have drunk water at his house. I will continue doing the same”
The young Congress MP from Amethi has put before the workers and the common people of Bahraich and Shravasti many a question to answer. He has conveyed to the people of UP and especially of Bahraich the need to change the government, the way to change their future.
