Congress thinks of the future, help us bring in the change, urges Rahul Gandhi

The AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had addressed hundreds of people at a poll rally at Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh as part of his Congress campaign in the state. Rahul Gandhi had spoken on many issues of the people of Uttar Pradesh.

“I have quite old relations with Barabanki. Nehruji’s close aid and friend belonged from here. I came last time here and you made us win,” said the young Congress MP from Amethi. The Congress leader had highlighted various issues of the people in a rally which saw mammoth turnout.

Rahul Gandhi had said, “The one who is towards truth is strong. Strength comes from people. Whichever government came here, it came up against people. They worked against the people. They were the government of the selected.”

Rahul Gandhi has been successful in expressing his concerns over the various grave issues of the heartland state of India. “Truth wins or money you will see. Workers are the spine of the Congress. Since 2004 the Congress led UPA government is at the centre working for India’s progress. So much of money is there; there is no shortage of money. Problem is the money does not reach you.”

Rahul Gandhi explained the usefulness and effectiveness of the MGNREGA. The Congress leader said that the funds sent by the Congress led Centre under the scheme go to the pockets of the bureaucrats, officers and middlemen.

“The Congress thinks of the future. Have you heard of the UID? There are several cards like Ration Card, voter ID, Driver’s License, etc. For one person there are multiple cards. We are making one card for one person. There will be one number for one person. What happens is there are different departments for different cards and the associated services. But we are merging them into one,” informed Rahul Gandhi.
