People should watch their leaders whether they are doing work or not : Sonia Gandhi

October 4, 2009, Sirsa(Haryana): Addressing an election rally at Sirsa(Haryana), Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that the whole country is proud of the farmers and soldiers of Haryana. “Whenever I come to this state I find the pictures of laborious farmers and brave soldiers of Haryana,” she said.

Congress President said, “I have one another reason of being proud of Haryana. This land has always shown faith and affection to our party and its leaders. Your faith is our greatest strength. Today, I am again with you as the election is nearing; I was here last time during Lok Sabha election. Haryana has shown so much support and affection for our party that all except one seat of the state went to our party. I want to say something to you regarding this coming election. You know well that in democracy, the government is elected by the people. Some people become ministers; responsibilities are given to him and they run the government. But the most important thing is that; people should watch their leaders whether they are doing development work or not.
