Maya govt. sold food for poor in black market: Congress (I)

Lashing out at Mayawati for selling the PDS food items for the poor in black market, Congress (I) has said the scam involves an amount of Rs 95,000 crores as per CBI investigation. In this connection CBI has registered 9 cases in which 150 persons have been identified. PDS officers have also been accused and 9 officials have been arrested which include Chief Financial and Accounts Officer, District Rural Development Officer, Balia and officials under him. Congress (I) has said it is most shameful that consumable items like wheat, rice and sugar meant for poor people living below poverty line disappeared in black market instead of being distributed to at subsidized rates. This confirms that Mayawati is least concerned with welfare of the poor people. She only talks of dalits but thinks only about her personal and party gain, said Congress (I).
