Congress (I) reach out to victims of police firing in Gopalgarh

After recent unfortunate violence in Gopalgarh Congress (I) has reached out to victims of police firing. Congress (I) President Sonia Gandhi has sent financial assistance worth Rs 2 lakh each to the victims. AICC team visited the next of kin of victims for handing over financial assistance. The Congress (I) leaders offered their condolence to be bereaved families and assured them party’s consistent support. The Congress (I) leaders described the September 14 firing at the Gopalgarh mosque as “unfortunate” and appealed to the people to “forget the incident and move on” with the time. Congress (I) party in-charge for the state Mukul Wasnik said Government at the Centre was sensitive to the problems of the Mewat region and had included Meos among the OBCs to ensure their speedy development. Congress (I) hinted that a big package for the Mewat region was being worked out to eradicate poverty and removal of the region’s backwardness.
